A MASTERS EVENT

The First and Only Dialect System Designed for Voice Over
Saturday August 15, 2009, Detroit

The voice over business works at breakneck speeds, and dialects must be
whipped up and ready HOURS before a session, MINUTES before an audition.
More than any other time in the last TEN YEARS, accents and dialects are required
for Animation, Games and Audiobooks.

JOIN THREE MASTERS WHO WILL GUIDE YOU

Your Master Teacher PATRICK FRALEY

Pat has performed and taught voice and dialects for 36 years. Pat has created voices for over 4,000 characters, placing him among the top ten performers of all time to be cast in TV Animation. Pat’s performance of the audiobook version of "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" called for 43 dialects and over 100 characters, and was heralded as "The Best of this Evergreen Ever" (People Magazine). More recently, Pat plied his unique dialect system to major interactive games, Yoga Wii, The A.B.C. Murders, and Dragon Age, and movies, I Am Legend, The Spiderwick Chronicles, and College Road Trip.

Your Special Guest JANET POUND

Janet, with Kathy Moony, heads up Pound & Mooney Casting. Janet casts union and nonunion projects for films, television, industrials and more. Among her credits are casting for Gran Torino, HBO Hung, Whip It, High School, and Irishman. Janet has a particular insight into the value of dialect skills as she started her career as an actor doing commercials, industrials, and voice over.

Your Guest Teacher TERI CLARK LINDEN

Teri learned her first dialect attending Roosevelt University for the play Something’s Afoot over 20 years ago. Since then she has added a multitude of regional and international dialects to her repertoire and plied them to all mediums of entertainment. Teri brings her unique insight into what women are expected to bring to the "dialect party" for voice over jobs.

As I work direct more and more of interactive/game, projects, Pat, I can't tell you how important learning dialects has become...studying should be a requirement for Voice Over in this 21st century.
Ginny McSwain, Animation and Interactive Director
I was booked on a job that called for a "European Accent." Your system helped the character in a way I couldn't get anywhere else!
Steve Bayorgeon, Voice Over
Well, you've done it again! Not only was the audio instruction (and demonstration) effective, but the added written resources really appealed to my "bookish" side!
Angela Harrington, Voice Over
Your dialect system really works, Pat. I got the gig!
